blue and purple fun :)

this look is really pretty, and relatively subtle because the colours are not too bright.

it will suit any eye colour or skin tone :)

some of the colours i used were from the Coastal Scents 88 Matte Palette, so they don't have names

i will include the names of the products that are named - these are just the products that i have, anything similar will work the same

first, prime your eyelids - either a primer, or concealer and powder

line your upper lashline with black liner (MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder), then smudge up the lid with a pencil ('bullet') brush

using a flat brush, apply a bright dark blue shadow to your eyelid, from the upper lashline to the crease (round shape, you don't need to pull it out yet)

with a fluffy brush, blend a bright purple shadow (Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Underland) around the edge or the blue and pull it out into a pointed shape, past the end of your eyebrow and up into your hairline (if you're brave!)

go back to the bright dark blue shadow with the fluffy brush and extend it out, to be a smaller version of the purple shadow's shape

take a light brown/nude/neutral shadow with a fluffy brush and blend around the purple on the brow-bone

highlight under the eyebrow with a shimmery or matte white (MAC Eye Shadow in Gesso)

using white eyeliner (NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk), cover the very inner corner of the eyelid and the inner third of the lower lashline

blend white eyeliner, using a pencil brush, with a shimmery aqua shadow (MAC Eye Shadow in Aquadisiac)

with a shimmery pink or purple colour (Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Curiouser), using a pencil brush, smudge around the outside of the purple shape - top and bottom, including under the lashline, into the aqua

using whatever liner you like the most (i used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean and an angled brush), line the upper lashline, pulling it out past the outer corner, in line with the purple shadow

line your waterline with black liner (MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder) and close your eyes hard for a few seconds to transfer the colour to the tightline - upper waterline

define your eyebrows (i use MAC Brow Set in Beguile)

black mascara (CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume), shifting the lashes out, in the direction of the eyeliner flick - away from the inner corner of the eye

just out of interest - the products i used for the rest of the face:

MAC Bronzer in Golden along the cheekbones

Napoleon Auto Pilot Lip Service (glossy lip primer)

Lime Crime Lipstick in D'Lilac, applied using either a lip brush or your finger - not directly
