john called these 'dusk eyes'

because they reminded him of the sun.

i did this make up to go out on queens birthday eve - full emo, because that's the way i roll :P lol

however, the boys decided they wanted to watch all of UFC, so we didn't get into the city until around eleven, and both venues had lines that went around the block... the boys were soft and didn't want to line up, so we turned around and went home.

cool red make up wasted on UFC. boo.

enough complaining, onto the explanation:

Urban Decay Primer Potion

MAC Paint Pot in Painterly

SHADOWS:

Red Eye Shadow with subtle shimmer (Coastal Scents 88 Matte Palette)

flat brush

eyelid

Dark Brown Eye Shadow with subtle shimmer (Coastal Scents 88 Matte Palette)

fluffy brush

blend at the top of the red (around the crease) into a wing that extends past the end of the eyebrow

bring it under the outer corner of the lower lashline too

Pale Nude Eye Shadow (Coastal Scents 88 Matte Palette)

fluffy brush

brow bone to eyebrow - highlight

Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Curiouser (also called Grifter - light pinky purple shimmer)

pencil/bullet brush

along lower lashline, from inner corner to meet dark brown

OTHER EYE PRODUCTS:

MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder

waterline, tightline and below outer corner of lower lashline (smudge using pencil brush)

MAC Penultimate Liner in Black

line along upper lashline, starting very thin, getting thicker toward outer corner, flick up toward the eyebrow at the end

Pale Blue Shimmer Loose Powder (no brand - arrived free with Crush Cosmetics order)

pencil/bullet brush

around inner corner

CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume Mascara

two coats, upper and lower lashes

MAC Brow Set in Beguile

to create the vampire-y sunken cheeks look, i contoured quite heavily under the cheekbones using a blush brush with MAC Bronzer in Golden, then MAC Mineralise SkinFinish in By Candlelight on top of the cheekbones/under the eye to highlight

i only got to take these photos when we arrived home around midnight after abandoning the night out, and i had a brainwave to put lipstick on - which i shouldn't have.  i had only meant to have nude glossy lips, but i put on Lime Crime Lipstick in D'Lilac and MAC Viva Glam Lipstick in Gaga - silly!  so it looks a bit spaz in this pictures - sorry!!

hope you guys like this one :)

i've been dying to use red eye shadow for ages!
